Acne Scar Laser Treatment - The Most Effective Treatment

What is the best acne treatment? By now you have probably asked yourself that a million times. Perhaps you have also tried various treatments, some of them may have worked, some of them possibly failed. All in all, the methods you are choosing just aren't giving you the results that you expect.

Maybe you can blame the results you are getting on the advertisers of acne medication. They make us believe that they have the magic bullet. In truth, at best it can be just controlled. There is no out and out cure for acne. Acne is a fact of life, sad perhaps, but it is just something that we have to content with.

I believe however, that perhaps you are not getting the result you want because you are not looking at acne treatment from a global perspective. What I mean to say is, acne is not the result of one thing or another. It arises for many reasons. If we take care of our bodies, wash correctly, watch our nutrition, manage our stress level, exercise, and hydrated adequately, acne can be managed with some success.

Ah, but you are thinking that is not so easy. And your right. To some degree it is not. It means adjusting your lifestyle, making some changes and sticking to a routine.

The first thing to look at is your washing technique. Contrary to thinking, acne is not caused by poor hygiene, but it can be made worse by how we wash. Harsh soaps, scented soaps, and antibacterial soaps are murder on the skin, especially the face. Washing and rubbing with a face clothe or any exfoliate material like loofas makes acne even worse. Just be kind and gentle to your skin. It is inflamed and infected, it needs loving care. So, when you wash, use just your hands, a mild soap, rinse well, and pat dry. Then if you choose, apply an acne medication.

Nutrition and hydration go hand in hand with acne control. Good skin loves nutrition food, with lots of fruit, veggies and whole grain. It also loves lots of hydration, so drink plenty of water. You might think that water in the form of caffeinated drinks is good - not so. Caffeine dehydrates - very hard on the skin.

Do you exercise? I am not talking about marathon gym sessions, or running 5 miles a day. A simple brisk walk for 20 minutes will do your skin wonders. Exercise increases blood flow to the skin which helps rejuvenation by oxygenation. Your skin is crying out for it. Not only will it help fight the acne, it will give you a healthy glow.

Stress is a tough one. It does go hand in hand with today's hectic lifestyle, but stress absolutely makes your acne worse. One of the things that aggravates acne is stress. When we feel under pressure, stress hormones are released in our bodies. These hormones actually help us to cope better in stressful situations, too bad they wreck havoc with our skin. Avoiding stress takes practice, but it can be done.

All of these measures will help you control acne, but they will not prevent it. Nor are they a total guarantee that you won't get a good bought of it. It your acne is so bad that you can't keep it under control, then by all means, see a doctor for advise.
